Is there something wrong with the Sony Cyber-Shot camera?

Ok, So my friends and I recorded a video for a project. She gave me her Sony Cyber-Shot camera to edit it since I was the technical person. When I plugged it in during my lunch break it was fine, but it was low battery.I did all the editting I can in that time but I couldn't finish. I forgot to pull out the plug tot he camera and the battery is all whiped out and I cant open it.I tried plugging it back into the computer but it won't charge and no windows pop up saying the detected the camera. What should I do? I need to get the editing finished by tomorrow and my friend isn't picking up.
