Harvest Moon TOT Bachelor problem help!?

Okay so ive been waiting in my town for chase to show up so i can end up marrying him and the whole rest that goes along :p but in the meanwhile ive gotten up to having 6 hearts with gill by workin with him so long at the part time job and he confessed his love and all and feelin bad i said i felt the same, does his confession stop me from havin all the other heart events and prevent me from ever marrying chase at all? or am i safe? xD
