How many hearts do you have to have on Harvest Moon ToT to have an animal follow you home?

I've been feeding the panda and turtle and weasel for about 8 days and I give them they're fav foods, and I have one heart when them all except for the panda, but I want to know how many more hearts until I can make them pets.
