Help solving a riddle?

i guess it's 97. Thaegan, her 12 children, assuming Snik Lin is just 1 name and that Ichabod is one of the children, for each 12 there is 1 toad so 12 toads, for each toad theres 2 grubs so 24, for each grub theres 2 fleas so 48. so it would be 1+12+12+24+48 which is 97. but since it's supposed to be a riddle, there's probably something more to it that i don't understand.
